We're seeking a talented Downstream Process Engineer to join our Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD) within Downstream Global Manufacturing.
OESD plays a pivotal role in providing specialized support to refining and chemical facilities worldwide.As a Downstream Process Engineer, you'll leverage your expertise in Solomon benchmarking methodologies to meticulously analyze the performance of our global manufacturing assets.
Your key responsibility will involve conducting comprehensive benchmarking assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance performance across our refining and chemical operations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the optimization and success of our global manufacturing endeavors. Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized and approved program.17 years total refinery and/or chemical process units experience with at least 5 years specialized experience in Solomon benchmarking and analysis of associated metrics.
~ Working knowledge of refinery and chemical industry process plant characteristics.~ Demonstrate the ability to facilitate technical discussions and use influence to align various stakeholders.
~ Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools.
Coordinate and support the administration of Solomon benchmarking studies and relevant requirements for Global Manufacturing facilities.
Facilitate data collection, verification and data quality review during the conduct of Solomon benchmarking in Global Manufacturing Affiliates' facilities.
Review and ascertain the competitive positions of Global Manufacturing facilities in the industry based on the Solomon benchmarking results.
Document the findings and recommendations of the studies for presentation to Global Manufacturing management and affiliates.Lead the planning, development, and execution of solutions to bridge the performance gaps identified.
Formulate expense/margin optimization plans to maximize financial performance of Global Manufacturing Affiliates' facilities.
Coordinate with affiliates' facilities to establish performance targets and measure progress using Solomon metrics.
Develop regular performance benchmarking reports capturing the Solomon metrics for all Global Manufacturing affiliates' facilities.
