    Techtop Canada is a leading wholesale distributor of electric motors, mechanical power transmission equipment and AC drives based out of Oakville, Ontario.

    We have 5 locations across Canada and are currently hiring a Senior Accountant (8-Month Contract) for our head office location in Oakville, Ontario.

    As the Senior Accountant , you will be pivotal in supporting our accounting team to meet operational and reporting deadlines, ensuring compliance, and preparing financial reports and statements.

    You will work collaboratively with the accounting team and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and support the company's strategic decision-making processes.

    This is a part-time (20 hours/week) 8-month contract position from May 1, Jan 31, 2025.
    Perform month end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, and various balance sheet schedules.
    Complete the monthly borrowing base reporting and quarterly covenant compliance reporting required by the bank.
    Assess the account receivable balances on a monthly basis to determine potential credits holds and review with management.
    Prepare and file GST/HST tax returns monthly and QST tax returns quarterly.
    Participate in cash flow planning involving local and foreign currencies (CAD, USD, and EUR).
    Prepare and maintain working files for the year-end audit.
    Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or Accounting (CPA not required, but preferred)
    ~5+ years of accounting experience
    ~ Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SUMIFs, etc.)
    ~ Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
    ~ Job Types:
    Part-time, Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 00 per hour
