- Lead the tactical operation of insurance policies and risk management programs, including preparing, reviewing, and analyzing risk exposure information for insurance underwriting purposes to reduce FCL's total cost of risk.
- Facilitate renewal of existing insurance policies ensuring that policy wordings and limits are sufficient for the exposures insured.
- Analyze and identify any potential gaps in coverage and investigate new insurance policies, contractual language, or other risk management methods to transfer or reduce new and emerging risks.
- Build and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders, Local Co-ops and external service providers to create effective communication and encourage awareness and risk-based decision making.
- Support alternative risk financing programs such as captive insurance, self-insurance and loss pools, including analyzing and recommending new methods of risk financing.
- Act as subject matter expert for Local Co-ops and Business Units on all risk and insurance related matters, including renewals, coverage reviews, claims support, and risk mitigation practices.
- Have 6-9 years of relevant experience in commercial insurance and risk management activities.
- Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration.
- Have a professional designation such as CIP, CRM, or CAIB or working towards completion of a designation is required (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
