- Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Execute and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure that equipment downtime is minimized and that production targets are met.
- Coordinate with contractors and other departments to schedule equipment repairs and maintenance during planned downtime.
- implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure that spare parts and consumables are available when needed.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of maintenance personnel.
- Communicate clearly the risks of the day to superintendent and manages.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Red seal Diploma in Heavy-Duty mechanic off road, Truck and Coach mechanic, welding, Machinist millwright, or mechanical engineering technologist.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a mechanic.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervision role.
- Strong technical knowledge of mobile equipment systems and components;
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and techniques;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining industry;
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: - The role is located at the Magino Mine, which is approximately 88 kilometres northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada.
- The ideal candidate for the role will work a rotation of 7 days on and 7 days off (12-hour days).
- Magino promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.

POSITION OVERVIEW:Reporting to the Superintendent, Mine Maintenance, the Supervisor, Mine Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all mobile equipment used in mining operations. This includes heavy machinery such as trucks, loaders, dozers, and drills. The successful candidate will lead a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring that equipment downtime is minimized and that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
MAGINO MINE:
Argonaut Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a portfolio of operations in North America. Focused on becoming a low-cost, mid-tier gold producer, the Company's newest gold mine, Magino is expected to become Argonaut's largest and lowest cost mine. Commercial production at Magino has been achieved, which is the first step in transforming the Company as it enters a pivotal growth stage. The Company also has three additional operating mines including the Florida Canyon mine in Nevada, USA, where it is pursuing potential for redevelopment and additional growth, La Colorada mine in Sonora, Mexico and San Agustin mine in Durango, Mexico.
