- Oversee the loading and unloading of freights
- Manage the inventory of materials and supplies needed to complete work orders
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and that dockhands have the knowledge they need to complete their tasks safely and efficiently
- Inform employees of any changes in procedures, protocols, or schedules that may be required due to new equipment or other factors
- Assign tasks to workers, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure completion of jobs thoroughly and on time
- Review documentation such as bills of lading and customs forms to ensure compliance with regulations
- Maintain safety standards for dockworkers by conducting inspections of equipment and facilities and enforcing rules regarding safe working practices
- Minimum of 3 years of transportation experience required – LTL experience preferred
- Forklift Certification required
- Ability to learn and operate within our in-house tracking and billing software
- Basic geographical knowledge of BC and Alberta an asset
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Excel, Word
- Professional attitude in all interactions representing the Company
- Excellent communication skills
- Starting Wage: $25/hr

T he Inbound dock lead hand supervises the dock in daily inbound unloading and loading to meet delivery schedules.
Work Schedule:
5:00AM - 1:30PM or 6:00AM – 2:30PM, Monday to Friday
