Full-Time; Permanent):


Hours of Work:35 hours per week - Hybrid

Director of Information Management and Development

Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director of Information Management and Development, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for creating and managing compelling multi-channel content to build and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers, partners and other stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • Develops and implements effective corporate communication plans to support strategic goals and objectives in collaboration with functional teams.
  • Communicates all agency news to staff, clients, volunteers, board members, partners, donors, media, and government.
  • Creates and coordinates promotional and marketing materials, and press releases for distribution through social, digital and print media platforms.
  • Works with Care Services and Housing staff to generate compelling stories.
  • Writes and organizes annual review, newsletters and correspondence and coordinates and edits department contributions.
  • Manages social media accounts and website content.
  • Tracks return on investment (ROI) and effectiveness of marketing and other campaigns, and actions necessary adjustments.

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • Certificates or additional training in related fields an asset

Experience and Skills:


  • Proven work experience in marketing and communications
  • Experience with multichannel marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Handson experience with web content management tools such as WordPress and Hootsuite
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM and how it correlates to content marketing.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws eg. Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation.**:
