    The Department of Chemical Engineering currently has 28 professors and conducts cutting-edge research in close collaboration with industry in the following areas: reactor and process engineering, life cycle analysis, biorefining, tissue engineering, materials and biomaterials, regenerative medicine, biotechnology, polymers.

    This position is part of the Department of Chemical Engineering's desire to increase the group of professors working in the fields of biomanufacturing, bioengineering and bioprocesses. process analytical technology and control of bioproducts/bioprocesses; Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels; Supervise undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students; Carry out innovative research projects; Obtain grants and contracts aimed at supporting research work with the aim of training highly qualified personnel; Publish the scientific results of this research; Participate in the department's teaching and research activities; Hold a PhD in engineering or equivalent in a relevant field; Have a proven track record of developing and conducting an independent research program that will enable them to obtain funding to supervise graduate students; Demonstrate excellent teaching skills, especially in courses related to chemical engineering science and design, if possible supported by teaching evaluations; Have a sufficient command of oral and written French before submitting their tenure file, since French is the language of instruction at Polytechnique Montréal.

    Ce poste s'inscrit dans la volonté du Département de génie chimique d'augmenter le groupe de professeures et professeurs œuvrant dans les domaines de la biofabrication, de la bioingénierie et des bioprocédés. technologie d'analyse de processus et contrôle des bioproduits/bioprocédés; Démontrer un engagement à l'excellence en enseignement à tous les cycles; Réaliser des projets de recherche novateurs; Obtenir des subventions et contrats visant à former, par des travaux de recherche, du personnel hautement qualifié; Collaborer aux activités d'enseignement et de recherche du département; Contribuer au rayonnement de Polytechnique Montréal au Québec et à l'international.

    Être titulaire d'un doctorat en génie ou l'équivalent dans un domaine pertinent; Démontrer d'excellentes aptitudes pour l'enseignement, notamment dans les cours de sciences du génie et de conception du génie chimique, si possible attestées par des évaluations d'enseignement; Maîtriser suffisamment la langue française parlée et écrite avant le dépôt du dossier de permanence, la langue d'enseignement à Polytechnique Montréal étant le français.
