As the organizational lead and corporate advisor, this excluded role is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, coordination and sustainment of the City's corporate-wide information management and privacy program.

This includes providing strategic direction on the City's corporate records management program and analyzing City department's records management practices, policies and procedures.

Further, the incumbent will interpret the Community Charter, Local Government Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA), City Bylaws and other legislation to ensure the City meets its obligations related to Privacy legislation and regulations.

Provides strategic direction, expertise and guidance on the City's corporate records management program
Represents the City in investigations by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia
A Master's degree in Library and Information Studies, Information Management, Archival Studies, Records Management, Business, or related field
A minimum of five (5) years' recent related professional information management experience in Records Management and FOIPPA, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Extensive knowledge of legal claim processes, municipal departmental functions and structure, policies and procedures
An indexed pension that will payout up to 70% of pre-retirement municipal earnings for life
