    We are currently seeking:

    Occupational Therapist Clinical Lead (Pediatrics) - North York

    $2000 Sign on Bonus*

    *For eligible Full-time Service providers only

    What will be your role?

    As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will be assessing and providing consultation, recommendations and interventions to a diverse group of pediatric clients in their homes and/or schools using evidence-based best practice. You will ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with the client care team regarding plans and schedules for interventions, problem solve in collaboration with the client and care team to create opportunities for more independence and promote VHA's core beliefs and values.

    Among other roles, you will provide advice, mentoring, consultation and expertise related to the pediatric Occupational Therapy profession. You will provide joint visits with other pediatric Occupational Therapists and Service Providers to give input for performance reviews and to support pediatric Occupational Therapists and Service Providers who face clinically challenging situations. You will provide clinical orientation for new pediatric Occupational Therapists and Service Providers or those changing clinical areas, and mentor groups for new graduates or those new to the community setting. You will identify, promote, and participate in best practice initiatives reflective of the requirements of the evolving health care system. You will also meet regularly with the Supervisor, Rehab Best Practice. You will act as a resource in the implementation and interpretation of discipline-specific professional standards of practice, contribute to the development of standards of practice, clinical policies and procedures relevant to the profession.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
    • Minimum 2 years clinical experience (optimal)
    • Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle
    • Compassionate and empathetic
    • Self-driven with ability to work independently
    • Skilled in caseload management
    • Skilled at electronic documentation
    • Able to provide virtual care
    • A registered ADP authorizer (asset)
