Temporary Full-time

The Engineering, Parks & Environment Department requires a temporary full-time Project Coordinator in the Public Realm Infrastructure (PRI) team for approximately two years.


You will possess a Diploma in Building Technology or Engineering from a technical school, supplemented by courses in project management, plus related work experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Specifically your work experience will include both large and small project management. Experience and/or education in Engineering, Construction, or Architectural field, and/or a CAPM or PMP designation would be assets.

You will have considerable knowledge of construction terms of reference and contracts and related municipal legislation governing the work performed.

Proficiency reading construction drawings and working with MS Office. A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License is required.


For temporary full-time positions of 8 months or longer, a City employee who is successful on the posting will have the right to revert to their former position.


Salary:

$48.09 to $56.82 per hour
(Pay Grade 2- January 2024 rates)
This position has a pay structure with five steps, which increase annually.


Hours of Work:

The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
