    The Engagement and Adoption Lead will play a key role in the successful implementation and adoption of Remote Care Management (RCM) and Teleophthalmology (TOP) Programs in Ontario. By applying a structured change management approach and methodology, the Engagement and Adoption Lead will facilitate and lead large stakeholder engagement through adoption strategies and activities to implement these programs. This role will need to build, support and sustain numerous stakeholder relationships in to order to build awareness and system benefits of RCM and TOP.

    The Engagement and Adoption Lead will report to the Manager, Provincial Virtual Care Program. This position is accountable for the implementation activities to support clinicians in a variety of hospital and community settings, by applying a structured change management approach and methodology.

    Here is what you will be doing:

  • Lead stakeholder outreach and engagement activities related to Remote Care Management and Teleophthalmology programs for spread and onboarding
  • Develop and deliver structured presentations to increase awareness of RCM and TOP activities and value-add to the system
  • Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to lead project planning, adoption and the implementation of RCM and TOP programs within their organization
  • Foster healthy relationships and partnerships with champions and regional sponsors for the adoption of RCM and TOP programs
  • Lead the onboarding process for external stakeholders and sites who want to leverage the provincial RCM program or sites who are interested in providing TOP services and track project timelines for onboarding are adhered and provide guidance to stakeholders to ensure on-time and successful project implementation
  • Creation of clear and effective meeting materials, knowledge products, etc. to lead partner engagements.
  • Provide quality improvement supports to optimize the use of RCM and TOP programs in the province
  • Work with Ontario Health Teams (OHTs) and Health Service Providers (HSPs) to create clinical workflows and manage systems to track adoption, utilization, proficiency and sustainment
  • Develop solutions for promoting the provincial solutions/programs and leverage value-based artifacts and learning's to support engagement and planning activities that are scalable for RCM and TOP programs.
  • Identify potential risks, points of resistance and performance gaps to inform the planning and on boarding process
  • Create, develop and report ongoing project progress, including adoption rates, utilization and sustainment
  • Use problem recognition and problem-solving abilities to handle complex problems and informs management of potential issues, risks and associated with engagement and adoption activities.
  • Execute on strategies and change management tactics to increase adoption rate, spread and scale for RCM and TOP
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders externally and internally including but not limited to OHTS, HSPs and OH partners
  • Identify champions and regional sponsors for the adoption of RCM and TOP
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Here is what you will need to be successful:

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in health-related discipline, business administration or in a field related to the job responsibilities or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years of specialized Digital Health related experience, including previous experience working in an IT environment or working within system integration
  • Minimum of four (4) years health system experience
  • Previous experience with enabling technologies in virtual care, RCM or TOP program within Ontario
  • Change Management Professional designation is an asset
  • Project management experience in health system planning and supporting/enabling implementation of large-scale strategic projects
  • Experience leading development and implementation of innovative programs/projects and/or virtual care models and technologies in complex clinical environments preferred
  • Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in coaching/collaborating with program/project delivery teams of various sizes and scope
  • A strong leader, with proven ability to build, enhance and maintain strategic relationships with health care leaders, OHTs, HSPs, clinicians and other key stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, decision making and analytical skills; can address numerous details at once in a fast-paced environment
  • A solid understanding of clinical processes, workflows and the impact of technology changes on patient service delivery
  • Strategic planning, marketing and communications experience desired
  • Excellent ability to analyze and interpret complex information to deliver a solution that meets business needs including prioritization
  • Superior organizational skills and solid knowledge and experience in project management and quality improvement methodology
  • Understanding of digital health technology and interoperability standards
  • Capacity to think strategically and maintain a broad systems view
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrating the capacity to work independently and with minimal direction
  • Able to work effectively with a diverse group of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders in diverse organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment in a liaison role and to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of current and future trends in digital health, health information management and health information technology systems
  • Can prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond/escalate risks and issues as they arise
  • Capacity to think strategically, identify and articulate opportunities that align with OH priorities, and maintain broad systems view to guide future planning and operations
  • Excellent computer skills required (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Strong presentation skills to lead effective and productive meetings
  • Ability to work independently, with guidance only for the most complex situations.
  • Deep understanding of virtual care models, solutions, and platforms
  • Knowledge of security practices and data privacy legislation (PHIPA & PIPEDA)
  • Knowledge of Ontario health sector and workforce trends within this sector
  • In-depth development knowledge of local health issues, priorities and needs while recognizing the broader trends in health care policy and system development
  • Ability to influence and manage a diverse range of stakeholders to drive initiatives forward
  • An innovative self-starter who is both creative and results oriented; can work with minimum supervision
  • Entrepreneurial aptitude; comfortable working in a dynamic team environment with some ambiguity

    Salary Band: 6
