We're building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world.As the Agency Associate you will be accountable for providing specialized agency services as an independent intermediary between borrowers and lenders participating in syndicated credit facilities arranged by Wholesale or Retail Markets.
This role applies solid knowledge of lending products and accepted syndication and loan administration practices in the following regions; Canadian Commercial Banking, Canadian Large Corporate, US Large Corporate or European Large Corporate.
You will manage all aspects of administration and monitoring of established credit facilities which includes the input, verification and escalation of any risk elements associated with the portfolio.
As a member of the Credit Processing Team, this role participates in process improvement and quality initiatives in order to enhance the quality of client service and increase operational efficiency.
Relationship Management - Liaise with borrowers (executive and operational levels), lenders, external and internal legal counsel, and other business units within the Bank on all activities related to the syndication and ongoing administration of the assigned accounts to ensure that the borrower and lenders operate within terms and conditions of the loan agreements and related legal documents, including transfers among lenders.
Provide guidance - Act as an industry expert in local market funding and operational standards for all loan products and services with the responsibility of offering recommendations and solutions to complex funding issues.
Ensure accuracy - Manage the flow of funds to mitigate risk to the Bank as agent.Ensure compliance – For both internal controls and procedures
Maintain correct data – Establish and maintain current expert knowledge of the credit agreement to accurately and effectively administer the contractual arrangements while mitigating execution risks inherent in the duties of the Administration Agent.
You have solid knowledge of various Lending and Deposit Products and ServicesYou possess a University degree / College diploma in Business, Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
