    Description

    Position Summary:

    • The Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive Health, Safety, Environmental Program for the location(s).
    • Overseeing claims management (WSIB), wellness programs, and ergonomics, while promoting positive employee relations.
    • Implementing accident/incident reduction activities such as ergonomics, behavioral-based safety, standardized work, safety training, awareness, and safety auditing.
    • Investigating all work-related incidents and managing claims with the aim of minimizing lost-time claims.
    • Representing the Company as Co-Chairperson of the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
    • Conducting regular workplace safety inspections and identifying potential hazards.
    • Providing technical assistance to departments on chemicals, waste, and environmental regulations.
    • Managing environmental concerns like air emissions, recycling, noise, chemicals, water discharges.
    • Possessing formal training in Occupational Health and Safety, Level 1 and Level 2 JHSC certifications.
    • Basic knowledge of SPC, Control Charts, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Industrial Regulations, Fire Code, and relevant legislation.
