    Description
    Corporate Controller:

    Our well-established, stable, client is searching for a Corporate Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for a wide variety of controllership duties requiring strong analytical skills. A successful candidate will have high attention to detail, provide a confident presence for the accounting department and drives process improvements. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance.

    Your success will be defined by your ability to:
    • Prepare monthly corporate financial statements and reporting packages including variance analysis and MD&A
    • Manage the year end processes and reporting. Coordinating with external accounting firms for year end review engagements and tax filings
    • Ad hoc reporting and financial analysis supporting the greater group of companies as required
    • Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
    • Oversee payroll function for the company, supporting the Director of Finance and CFO with group wide payroll oversight and initiatives as required
    • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
    • Develop, document and improve business processes to create efficiencies and strengthen internal controls
    • Provide support to the group on accounting systems conversion and implementation
    • Support the CFO and Director of Finance with merger and acquisition activities
    • Manage and comply with local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
    • Assist with additional financial management duties as necessary including insurance review
    Your strengths include:
    • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) is required
    • Public practice experience is considered an asset
    • 5+ years of post-designation experience in a senior financial role
    • Experience in a multi-company environment
    • Ability to embrace change, continually improving processes and maintaining confidentiality
