    To support us on our journey, Sinai Health is looking for a Program Coordinator, Geriatrics Events and Special Projects to support our Department of Medicine's Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program. The Program Coordinator, Geriatrics Events and Special Projects position is an integral part of the busy, dynamic, and growing Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. In this role, you will be expected to exercise sound judgment and independence while managing the program's education events and special projects related to the delivery of the Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality customer service, applying excellent problem solving and communication skills to ensure the success of the program.

    Reporting to the Program Manager, Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program, the Program Coordinator for Geriatrics Events and Special Projects' responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate planning, implementation and evaluation of all Healthy Ageing Program events including professional conferences and public education sessions.
  • Coordinate implementation and evaluation of Special Project deliverables assigned by the Program Manager or Medical Director.
  • Develop and implement a relationship based outreach strategy that engages a diverse group of community stakeholders, healthcare professionals, and older adults and family caregivers, including members of BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
  • Develop and maintain accurate real-time Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program engagement, participation and event feedback records for decision support and reporting.
  • Develop and update required Healthy Ageing and Geriatrics Program promotion, registration and evaluation documents for assigned events, programs or projects.
  • Performing other job related duties as assigned by Program Manager or Medical Director.
  • Job Requirements
  • Successful completion of a College Diploma in communications, business or program management or a related field from an accredited educational institution. University degree an asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience preferably working within a large, dynamic not for profit environment.
  • Applicants with proven equivalent recent and related training and experience may be considered
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Experience with in-person and virtual event management and logistics including scheduling, promotion, registration, payment, evaluation and reporting.
  • Proficient at managing virtual large events (up to 1, participants) using with Zoom meeting or Zoom webinar
  • Experience updating web content using Word Press
  • Experience with Hootsuite or other social media content managers
  • Experience with Mailchimp or other news content managers
  • Moderate level of proficiency with Adobe Suite including InDesign
  • Strong work ethic; positive, client focused attitude; superior professionalism; demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • Superior written/oral communication, and presentation skills; excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to effectively convey factual information and detailed explanations
  • Excellent time management, organizational and self-planning skills displaying flexibility by adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities, meeting demanding deadlines and producing high quality work
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance record
