    Description

    Position: Corporate Tax Accountant
    Location: Downtown Toronto (Hybrid 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
    Salary: Starting from $105,000+

    Our downtown Toronto client is seeking a talented Tax Accountant to join their growing team. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the financial health and compliance of our organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement tax provisions and related disclosures.
    - Analyze and prepare tax account balances, reconciliations, and journal entries
    - Assist with tax forecasts and planning, conducting research and analysis on strategic initiatives, changes in legislation, and industry trends
    - Complete and file corporate income tax returns and related working papers
    - Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, business units, internal and external auditors, and consultants for tax-related queries
    - Aid in government tax audits by preparing all necessary documentation and correspondence.
    - Prepare and assist in delivering presentations to various business units and internal stakeholders
    - Ensure compliance with the Corporation's internal control framework, updating control narratives regularly

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    - CPA certification
    - 4 years of experience in accounting, 1 year of corporate tax
    - Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
    - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    - Effective communication and presentation abilities
    - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
    - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
