    Contract or permanent full-time role with a well-established, complex and successful company. Our client is a very well-established company headquartered in Vancouver with operations across North America. Swim Recruiting has been engaged to aid with this important search.
    Payroll Manager (Canada & US).

    The new Payroll Manager will lead 4-5 direct reports (Payroll Analysts, Specialists, Accountants) and will work on an overall payroll and benefits team of 10+ people who cross-train so as to support each other and back each other up on vacations, sick days, etc.

    The Payroll Manager and their team are responsible for processing a salaried payroll (Canada and US) and hourly payroll (a few Canadian provinces).

    Additionally, the Payroll Manager will oversee stock-based/equity compensation, Board of Directors compensation, and expat/secondee payroll (including shadow payrolls). Leading the company's payroll team through year-end, including T4s and W2s.

    We are looking for a senior-level payroll professional who enjoys mentoring and leading a team that is processing a complex and interesting payroll.

    10+ years of progressive and relevant experience in payroll.

    Experience with a multi-national payroll (multi-provincial, multi-state) is required, and experience leading a team processing a payroll of 500+ is required.

    Candidates must be systems savvy and able to learn new payroll systems and tools quickly.
    This company is headquartered in Greater Vancouver in a beautiful corporate office that is very transit accessible.

    After training there is excellent hybrid flexibility- the Payroll Manager can choose to work from home 1, 2, 3, and possibly even 4 days a week (depends on the week, and what is happening at the office).

    Competitive salary commensurate with experience, likely in the range of $105,000 to $132,000, plus a bonus program, RRSP match, ESPP, health & dental benefits, etc.

    If the Payroll Manager is hired initially on a contract, there will instead be a competitive consulting hourly rate.
