    Hopewell currently has a full-time opportunity for a site carpenter to join the construction department.

    The position will report directly to the Field Supervisor and work alongside the Site Supervisor to assist with general labourer tasks including lifting, digging, and general site clean-up.

    Perform tasks as assigned by Site Supervisor.

    May include excavation, demolition, carrying supplies and materials, setting up and breaking down workstations and scaffolding, minor carpentry, tool maintenance, punch list tasks, assisting trade contractors, etc.

    Report any problems, damage, hazardous conditions, and oversights to Site Supervisor.
    Keep job sites clean. Complete exterior pick-up and interior sweeping/tidying as directed by Site Supervisor.
    Help Site Supervisor receive material deliveries. Unload trucks, and stack and store materials. Keep model homes tidy (general housekeeping on interior and exterior).
    Valid driver's license.
    Valid CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid Certifications, Fall Arrest, and Lift Equipment courses an asset. The company will provide training.

    Some work activities involve the monitoring of processes, objects or situations in the work environment that are far from the worker.

    ENVIRONMENT – Primarily outdoors, in all weather conditions.
    HEIGHT – Ability to work at high levels on ladders, scaffolding and climb stairs.

    This is a safety-sensitive position where if actions or decisions are not carried out properly could result in serious incident(s) affecting the health or safety of Employees, contractors, the public, or the environment.

    Hopewell has a comprehensive Health & Safety program including policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

    Working Conditions:
    This is a field position and will require travel between designated job sites. Traditional core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
