    Intermediate/Senior Electrical Estimator

    Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a growing organization? If so, Sheridan has an exciting opportunity in our Mississauga office for an enthusiastic Intermediate/Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team.

    Reporting to the Chief Electrical Estimator, you'll work in a small team environment where you will have the ability to work with some of the industry's greatest talent. In this role, you will work closely with your team members and our customers to assist and recommend solutions for their needs. You will be innovative and self-motivated, and won't be afraid of a hard day's work. You will bring an entrepreneurial energy and attitude into every job and project. You will have a long-term growth focus and be willing to do what is necessary to drive results and ensure customer satisfaction. You have superior communication skills, and can work effectively in a diverse environment.

    As an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Estimator you will be responsible for:

    · Preparing quotes from supplied electrical drawings or single line drawings, building blueprints and general contractor specifications, equipment lists and/or general customer information,

    · Participating in bid closing and bid review meetings, and other job closing related tasks,

    · Managing scope of work changes,

    · Working with purchasing to engage suppliers and obtain competitive project pricing,

    · Preparing detailed material take-offs and labour hour breakdowns for cost analysis,

    · Participating in hand off meetings for successful tenders in order to transition the project to the Construction Project Management team,

    · Communicating with customers and suppliers.

    · Conducting site visits to determine the constructability of projects,

    · Assisting in organizational jobs such as pulling electrical permits and communicating with field personnel and supervision when necessary,

    · Interpreting and applying the necessary standards associated with the Ontario and Canadian electrical codes,

    · Promoting a positive company image through service quality, professionalism and a strong sense of urgency.

    Required Knowledge and Skills:

    · Valid class G Driver's License, or better, with a clean driving record,

    · Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written,

    · Fluent with computer systems and software, especially Microsoft Office (Excel and Word),

    · Five (5) – ten (10) years of electrical estimating experience,

    · Must have a minimum of intermediate level experience and familiarity with Accubid.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience that would be an asset:

    · Familiarity with Bluebeam, or other PDF or CAD software,

    · Post-secondary education in electrical engineering or related field,

    · 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician License and field experience in the industrial sector,

    · Experience in the construction industry.

    Pay: $75,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
