    Are you an accounting professional looking to join a supportive team that advocates for continuous learning and thrives on a culture of enjoyment where humour is welcomed?Our private sector client, an Ottawa-based CPA firm, urgently seeks a Junior Payroll Administrator to join their team on a hybrid basis (3 days a week on-site).


    About youTo be considered, you will need:2+ years of experience in full-cycle union and non-union Canadian payrollCollege Diploma in Business Accounting, bookkeeping or related fieldWorking knowledge of at minimum one accounting software is requiredWorking knowledge of workflow management tools and Microsoft Suite are assetsAbility to manage a client portfolio for all client payroll needsAble to develop and maintain strong client relationshipsWillingness to take initiative and accept responsibilityHave a strong learning mindset and can ramp up quickly for new clients and industriesAbility to work under pressure and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments with deadlines/prioritiesCan thrive working independently and make sound judgements; Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for multiple companies using online or desktop accounting/payroll softwareIntegrate into the books and records of the client's clienteleFollow up with clients as needed to maintain accurate payroll processesWork with clients to provide ad-hoc information as requested; problem-solve for clients when neededProvide monthly & quarterly reporting, including payroll, GST, HST, WSIB, EHT, etc.
