    Get a closer look at the inner workings of buildings

    Enerlife Consulting is in search of a talented Junior Energy Analyst with a solid understanding of building energy systems. The ideal candidate brings experience, curiosity, and creativity to contribute to our mission of optimizing building performance, reducing carbon emissions, and developing innovative services and tools. The perfect fit for this role thrives both on-site, in design settings, and in client interactions.

    Position Profile:

    • Collaborate with senior engineers to assess building performance and implement enhancements to reduce carbon emissions
    • Focus on evidence-based solutions for mechanical and electrical systems in various buildings, specifically community-based facilities
    • Analyze energy and water performance metrics for different building types
    • Utilize creativity to develop practical solutions aligned with business objectives
    • Effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences

    Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

    Preferred:

    • Mechanical Engineering Degree (B.Eng/M.Eng) and Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
    • 0-2+ years experience in building energy systems analysis, retrofit design, and operations
    • Proficiency in building modeling software like eQuest, Energy Plus, IES, or equivalent tools
    • Familiarity with Carbon Neutral Energy Emission assessments
    • Understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems
    • Knowledge of building automation systems, sequences of operation, and retro-commissioning
    • Experience applying ASHRAE 62.1, 90.1, and CSA Z317.2 standards
    • Excellent communication and team facilitation skills
    • Curiosity to explore the cause and effect relationships in building design and operations
    • Strong analytical and modeling abilities
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Effective organization and workload management skills
