    Description

    Title: Staff Accountant.

    Location: North York, Ontario.

    Workplace type: Hybrid.

    Employment type: Full-time, Permanent.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Preparation of Notice To Readers
    • Review and audit engagement files including corporate and personal tax planning and preparation.
    • Prepare and maintain government remittances/filings, accounts receivable expenses, accounts payable and payroll transactions.
    • Set-up client files and assist with the completion of budgets.
    • Perform the month-end and quarter-end close process.
    • Assist with bookkeeping.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Post secondary education in accounting is a must.
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a public accounting firm.
    • CPA in progress preferred.
    • A working knowledge of Quickbooks, Caseware, Caseview and Taxprep/Profile.
    • Strong interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Team player
    • Attention to detail.
