- Coordinating technical and status reports, tender documents, and contracts.
- Serving as a vital link between architects, engineering/construction firms, and sponsor departments to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Supporting the preparation and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
- Attending project meetings and reviewing plans to ensure alignment with our objectives and standards.
- Managing project documentation, including technical reports, risk registries, and project specifications.
- Assisting in coordination of invoices, change orders, and payment claims, ensuring accuracy and appropriate recommendations.
- Conducting site reviews to ensure contractors/consultants are performing the necessary tasks to keep the project moving as per the contractual terms and regulations.
- Working with the Project Manager to tackle non-routine tasks, such as arbitrating minor disputes and advising on proposed changes with independent judgement.
- May prepare terms of reference for selecting architectural and engineering consultants.
The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge of capital project planning and implementation processes including design, construction and procurement within current standards, codes, bylaws and regulations, and be able to interpret construction drawings and specifications. They will also have knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage planning, design and construction projects simultaneously. Attention to detail with the ability to identify, plan, organize, and prioritize and implement projects in a timely manner, as well as proven ability to build and interpret master project schedules inclusive of internal and external stakeholders, are crucial to this role. Additionally, the individual will have the ability to support team members while working in a dynamic project environment with changing priorities.

Qualifications: - A diploma or degree in Architecture (including Landscape Architecture), Engineering, Construction Management, or Building Technology.
- Experience coordinating or supporting facilities and/or parks projects in a complex institutional environment or an equivalent.
- A valid Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia (with a satisfactory driving record).Preferred Qualifications:
- Courses in project management courses (PMP an asset).
- Experience in a similar role within a public or private sector environment.
