    Who we're looking for:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Law (L.LB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.)
    • A member of, or eligible for membership in, the Law Society of Alberta or Ontario
    • A minimum of 7 years of experience in either private practice or in-house with experience in one or more of following practice areas: corporate/commercial, regulatory, consumer protection, or privacy
    • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the banking, fintech or financial services sectors
    • Proven ability to think strategically and provide business units with concise analysis and recommendations
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others
    • Strong organization and time management skills and the ability to meet short deadlines and prioritize work
    • Familiarity with consumer protection, financial services regulation and knowledge of emerging and innovative payment technologies is an asset
