    CP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious Service and Installation Technician, Commercial Doors in our Surrey branch.

    CP Distributors is a trusted, value-added business partner in the construction industry and is dedicated to being the leading supplier of Commercial Doors, Frames, Finish Hardware and Specialties, Integrated Security Systems, and the service and installation of these products.

    The position is temporary, full-time, and project based, with the possibility of becoming permanent and, for a highly motivated professional, has tremendous growth opportunities.

    In this newly created position for the duration of the St. Paul's project, the Service and Installation Technician plays a key role by ensuring the product is installed and/or serviced on time, within budget, and in conformance with functional and quality expectations.

    As a Service and Installation Technician, Commercial Doors, you will be responsible to:

  • Install, service, and repair Division 8 products (doors, frames, hardware) and Division 10 products (specialties);
  • Provide exceptional customer service;
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the safety requirements of the job site and ensure protocols are properly followed;
  • Work collaboratively as a part of the branch service and installation team.

    • Your Experience:

  • Ideally, you bring 2+ years of experience with service and installation of commercial doors;
  • Must possess valid driver's license without restrictions;
  • Familiarity with Division 8, 10, and 28 is considered an asset;
  • Experience with low voltage wiring is considered an asset.

    • Your Skills:

  • Customer-service oriented;
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills;
  • Strong time management skills to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Demonstrated accountability and dependability;
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues across our company, maintaining our close-knit, team-orientated culture;
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
