    CUPE POSTING

    Position: Registered Practical Nurse- THP-UHN RCC

    Status: Permanent Part-Time (x2)

    Role Level: CUPE 09 ($34.764-$37.049 per hour)

    Dept/Health System: THP-UHN RCC, Rehab, Transitional Services & CCC Program

    Hours of Work/Shifts: DDNN 4 days on 5 days off 2-hour day and night shifts H and; must be available Sunday to Saturday including statutory holidays

    About our Unit:

    3West is a specialized unit consisting of 48 rehab patient beds.

    We are a dedicated team of rehabilitation healthcare experts committed to delivering outstanding, patient-focused care. Our therapy is oriented towards achieving patient goals, aiding them in regaining independence and community reintegration. We focus on enhancing physical, cognitive, and communication abilities affected by injury or illness, striving to enhance our patients' quality of life and facilitate their return to meaningful activities.

    Patient success is fostered through self-motivation, active engagement, and family backing.

    Key Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

    • Graduate of a recognized Nursing School
    • Current or eligible for Registered Practical Nurse certification from the College of Nurses of Ontario
    • Current BCLS certification necessary
    • FIM certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment
    • Recent experience with inpatient medical and rehab populations required
    • Up-to-date knowledge of geriatric rehabilitative nursing principles
    • Ability to provide educational support to patients and families
    • Champions patient and family-centered care
    • Skilled in establishing therapeutic relationships
    • Evidence of continuous professional development
    • Consistent attendance and performance
