    Senior Database Administrator-SQL


    Job Type:
    Contract

    Duration- 6 months to start

    Primary Location:
    Remote – Toronto, ON

    We have several projects with major North American companies. Currently, we are looking to bring on a DBA to support a gaming client of ours.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to missioncritical production systems.
    • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
    • Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
    • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution endtoend.
    • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
    • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
    • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
    • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
    • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and crosstraining to other peers and team members.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree or diploma with emphasis in business administration and/or technology
    • Experience with Gaming Systems preferred
    • A proven track record of successful project implementation in a software and technology implementation environment
    • Experience of the entire project life cycle, able to operate in the initial conceptual design stage
    • Experience with Microsoft Sequel (Relation Database Management System)

    • Experience using structured query language (SQL)
