    Special Events Coordinator (Stouffville, ON)

    Willowgrove is a land-based, not-for-profit organization known for our focus on outdoor experiences for people of all ages. Since 1968, Willowgrove has offered camping, outdoor education, and recreation programs year-round to our community and beyond.

    Job Description:

    The Willowgrove Special Events Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and execution of all special events for the summer. This includes wide games, tuck, CampCan, Theme days, and Friday Special Events. With the help of the Events Assistant they are the camp's hype-person and in charge of all things camp spirit.

    Employment Dates:

  • May 13 – August 27
  • May 22 – 23rd – Leadership Team Orientation
  • May 25 – 29 – Leadership Training at Fraser Lake
  • June 8, 9, 22, 23, 27 – Staff Training
  • Contract includes 2 days after camp for clean up.
  • Must be available to work the entire contract

    • All staff training dates are mandatory unless other arrangements have been made with the Camp Manager.

    Position Requirements:

  • Age 18+ with a minimum 2 years of camp experience
  • Confident in front of a large crowd
  • Strong communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Prior leadership experience – experience supervising others is an asset
  • Standard First Aid/CPR-C (not required but strongly recommended)
  • Mental Health First Aid (not required but strongly recommended)
  • Clean vulnerable sector police record check
