    Part Time – 10 hours per week - Afternoons
    (Albert Catholic Schools is located on the original lands of the Cree, those of Treaty 6, and on the homeland of the Métis nation.     Position:

    An Educational Assistant is required to assist students with social/emotional behavioural challenges, mild/moderate learning needs, and/ or medical needs.


    Duties to Commence:
    Immediately
    Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.

    Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division's goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.

    Completion of the Education Assistant Program at MacEwan University or equivalent post-secondary training.
    Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training an asset.
    Experience with assisting with the implementation of student Individual Program Plans.
    Display a positive approach to students with social-emotional-behavioral needs.

    Experience implementing positive, proactive behavioural interventions including competence using specific strategies such as visual supports, sensory supports, reinforcement schedules, teaching problem-solving skills, social stories, etc.

    Support the use of Google Apps for Education as well assistive technology devices for communication.
    Experience modeling and teaching students social skills, and emotional regulation.
    First Aid and CPR training would be an asset.
    Knowledge and experience working with diverse learners who are on the autism spectrum is preferred.
