    Project Controls Coordinator

    Project-based, Full-time

    Coquitlam, BC

    Headquartered in Nisku, Alberta, Michels Canada is currently seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to oversee various project management aspects for an ongoing infrastructure project.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintain a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations, and promptly address any hazards or unsafe conditions.
    • Thoroughly review project documentation to grasp the scope of work, understand cost items, and billing requirements.
    • Oversee the field cost coding system to ensure accurate cost allocation across different project activities.
    • Analyze project budget assumptions, provide funding insights for major subcontract work orders, and update reporting systems accordingly.
    • Comprehend invoicing requirements, prepare billing packages, and manage cost transfers effectively.
    • Streamline invoicing processes and ensure adherence to company standards by collaborating with vendors and suppliers.
    • Perform other project-related duties as necessary.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of two years' experience in engineering or construction projects.
    • Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction processes.
    • Knowledge of ERP systems and scheduling applications is an asset.
    • Preferably a graduate in engineering or construction-related fields.

    LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

    • Proficient in verbal and written English communication, both manually and digitally.
