Samos is seeking a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) and Partnerships Manager to lead the development and execution of the company's sales through three distinct channels across multiple business verticals in Canada.
You will bring knowledge and contacts specific to these channels and verticals.The role will work closely with the Founding team along with the product and marketing team in order to identify, cultivate, structure and close complex deals within sophisticated distribution channels.

The BDR and Partnerships Manager will be a pivotal role in building and leading the organization in its early stages in Canada.
PlanDevise a sales strategy and revenue targets in a manner that's been proven from your prior successful experienceBuild a best practice "machine" for sales and customer relationship management based on data and quantitative measures.
Leveraging your knowledge and experience to build a process for partnership identification, onboarding and deploymentsExecuteIdentify, nurture, structure and close sales opportunitiesIdentify, nurture, negotiate and secure win-win partnerships that ultimately lead to fulfilling revenue targetsNurture and leverage your network connections to build and cultivate a circle of influential decision makers in order to target sales opportunitiesActively nurture and develop partnerships to maximize value for the business.
Serve as resident expert on the market solution with in depth knowledge and communicate your business requirements to internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Grow the Samos brand within your network and through representation at industry and broader networking events.MeasureRegularly evaluate production results by the Samos sales function and distribution partners to ensure achievement of goalsMonitor the execution of specific initiatives and achievement of distribution goals and make adjustments to initiatives as necessaryMonitor publicly-available information to maintain in-depth knowledge of partner/distributor performance, strategies, and directionSupport company objectives with the development of fact-based, data-driven regional and national distribution strategiesUtilize appropriate insurance platforms and other data-driven distribution tools to optimize distribution strategy and support targeted business initiatives
Proven strategic and critical thinking capabilitiesSound leadership and influencing capabilitiesUnderstanding of Canadian financial services marketplaceExcellent interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively interact with team members at all levels within Samos and its distribution partnersExcellent written and oral communication skills and executive presenceExceptional organizational and project management skillsAble to connect dots/see patterns across projects and the organizationExcellent problem-solving and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities workDemonstrate a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals
Preferred Technical Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) and/or Google Suite of products (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Gmail, Drive, Meet)
