    The First Nations in the area that UCN serves entered into treaty relationships with the Crown (within our region these include signatories to treaties 4, 5 and the treaty 5 adhesion, and treaty - located within the treaty 5 adhesion).

    UCN is seeking the Director of Community Engagement position.

    This position is critical to the work of the Mihcet Meskanawah Teaching and Learning Department and the implementation of the MMTL Strategy.

    The position is responsible for supervising eleven Post Secondary Education Access Centre Coordinators, building and maintaining critical relationships with several Chief and Council local governments, address the needs, lead and manage the program delivery expectations unique to each community and administering numerous budget centers, providing leadership in the development and delivery of effective programming in communities, and developing and maintaining strong relationships with community representatives.

    The position is excluded from the bargaining unit.
    Post-secondary degree in Business, Management, Arts or Education or related discipline; Experience working with northern and Indigenous communities and knowledge of their training needs
