CPC Ten Percent on Prime

Red 2 SPUDS on PRIME INTERWEB BLURB: A London talent agency where agents scramble to keep their star clients happy and their business afloat after the sudden death of their founder. Adaptation of the French series “Dix pour cent” ( Call My Agent!) from 2015. MY BLURB: This isnt so much a sitcom as it is a kind of semi-absurdist hybrid of comedy, satire and a bit of drama, which is something that the Brits tend to do very well. In the opening episodes, a small but fairly well connected talent agency in London has to go through the loss of its founder, whose son must take the reins and run things. This is a very smartly written series with a lot of good ups and downs and a bunch of characters who, while not exactly endearing, are pretty well etched and for that reason have a good deal of appeal. As it says in the upper blurb, it's an adaptation of a French show, and it kind of made me curious to see what that was about too. I like watching French stuff, because | have a pretty good grasp of the language when | hear it spoken. Speaking it myself is a whole other kettle of poisson. This is pretty light stuff, which is a nice break, for me at least, from all the heavy shit out there in Vidland.
