TUSED TO BEA POET Tused to be a poct ¢ back in the day sleek nery Looking machinery t manufactures words At the speed of ligh Was even dreamt of Tused to be a poct When words were measured Carefully and thoughtfully When love and passion Tused to be a poct ‘When 1 could make Subconscious thoughts Churn and bubble A witches cauldron OF fear and anger Of anxiety and longing For everything from justice 02 good old fashioned fuck Tused to be a poct When everything was cool And everyone could seck & find ‘The deeper meaning When inflections were like chords “That no onc had played before And they were so rich And strange and full of the unknown Tused to be a poct When my mind was free to wander And 1 was always invited “To tag along, taking notes And shape them into Little anthems to whatever Was going on, going strong Going right, going wrong Going, going, gone T used to be poct But nowadays I have to reach way back “To find those things “That came so casily ‘Those thoughts that would drift On the tide of all that 1 Was 50 connected to When I used to be a post LEE COPYRIGHT 2023, JM MURRAY MURMARKETING.
