THE GREAT DIVIDE

Just spent four years
In the Great Divide
Felt like a century or two
One side is humble
The other filled with pride
And nobody really knew what to do

Just spent four years
In The Great Divide
Watchin’ hate and love at war
Both sides be
That they
But didn’t know what they were fighting for

Just spent four years
In the Great Divide
And the misery I saw was a joke
And the poor folks they
Didn't have much to say
As their dreams all went up in smoke

Just spent four years
Ini the Great Divide
Saw the seeds of revolution get sown
And just like everything
In the good old US A
It was all tragically overbloton

Just spent four years
Ini the Great Divide
But there's one thing I'm thankful for
If there is a God
And he’s in a good mood
We won't have to live through four more
