SEE HOW THEY RUN 3 SPUDS on Prime There seems to be a bit of a trend toward who- dunits in movies these days, mostly from people who would very much prefer to pay actors than a bunch of high price propellersheads to create animation. And that’s fine with me This is a one of the better whodunits | have seen with a good ensemble cast featuring Saoirse Ronan, Sam Rockwell, David Oyelowo, Adrien Brody, and Ruth Wilson among others. Sam Rockwell plays a kind of slovenly Poirot type inspector from Scotland Yard investigating the murder of a Hollywood screenwriter who is part of a contingent over to London to see an Agatha Christie play that they want to turn into a movie. It all takes place in the mid 1950s so it's refreshingly low tech As in all good classic murder mysteries there are no shortage of suspects and the movie keeps you guessing right up to almost the end This movie is nicely paced and the irony of American Sam Rockwell and Irish born American Saoirse Ronan playing the very British leads was not at all lost on me CQUCH FOTATO CHRONICLES RATING SYSTEM NO SPUD 4U -- SUCKS 1 SPUD -- NOTHING SPECIAL 2 SPUDS -- WORTH WATCHING 3 SPUDS -- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Copynght 2022, MurMarketing, Jim Murray
