1 WISH YOU WERE HERE

It's been a long time

Since I last saw your face

It's been a long time

Since | felt your warm embrace

There's not a day | don't think about

The way things used to be

When what we were

Was so much more than just you and me

1 live with regret

For all the thoughtless things I've done
I live with the achin’ pain

Of knowing you were the one

There's not a day that | don’t think
About what a fool I've been

And how much you had to pay

For all my sins

I wish you were here
Though I have no right

I keep dreamin’ about you
Every single night

They say you never know
What you've got

Until it all disappears
Darlin’ I know that now
And | wish you were here

I know your heart

Has been slow to mend

And | know how lonely life can be
When you can’t see the end

But maybe there's another way
For both of us to start anew

A chance for me to make up

For all the wrong I've done to you

Aur
