Opinions, I have a few
See this place? This is where we live and die. Every one of us. Humanoids, mammals, reptiles, birds, insects, fish, microbes the whole shootin' match.
Right now, this place we call home is in a lot of trouble. Mainly because too many of us have been taking too much from it for too damn long, and using our industriousness to fill the atmosphere with carbon that will eventually suffocate us all.
The only reasons for all this madness are the making of money and the gratifying of egos. And now that the climate of the planet has been altered by all this recklessness, we are starting to see more massive rainfall and flooding, storms, seismic activity, drought, and temperature extremes hot enough and cold enough to kill us.
The only sane way forward right now is for all the nations of the world to start cooperating with each other to create and share the best ideas to slow or reverse these changes.
The reasons we don't do that are insignificant when you compare it to the environmental damage that's occurring and on its way to us. But sadly, all we are proving is just how un-evolved we are that we can still be fighting with each other like spoiled children when what we should be doing is collectively fighting for our survival as a species. But with the levels of greed, ignorance and outright stupidity in the world today, that seems like nothing short of impossible. Too bad.It seemed like a pretty good planet...until it wasn't.
