Why Every Human Being On This Planet Should Be Angry These Days

REFORE

TwSunday, we witnessed another horrendous chapter in the systematic and relentless undoing of America. It took me a long time to process how something like this is still being allowed to happen. But this country, like many others these days, which politicizes everything and learns nothing from the world, which is controlled by greed and managed by fools is now nothing more than a shining example of just how fucked up in so many ways a country can be and still carry on.
But everything has its breaking point…everything.

I am weary.
I am worn down by my own human desire to be aware of what’s going on.
I have had my brain fractured by stainless steel paradoxes, lie after lie after lie playing out on 50 million watt lit stage until nobody, including me, knows what to believe anymore.
Everywhere I look I see carnage and man’s inhumanity to man riding roughshod over whole races, whole cultures, whole ideologies.
People enslaved by the greedy and the powerful. People turned into reluctant nomads because the winds of change have become uncontrollable and blow literally from all directions.
I am exhausted from trying to keep track of the ever rising body count in my head as a reminder that life is so much cheaper than it used to be.
I worry, perhaps too much, about the future, but only because the present sucks on so many levels.
I puzzle over the fact that so many people who experience far worse consequences than me, yet do nothing, not even get angry. It’s like their emotions have been syphoned off and all they can do is stare that thousand mile stare and wait on the next catastrophe.
That is not living. That is just waiting to expire.
I wonder about things I have never wondered about before, about prophecies and conspiracies and all kinds of other truths. About the fools who have the power to end humanity and seem more than willing to do it, just for spite, just to feed the monsters in their heads.
I see the rise of despots here, there and everywhere and wonder why human race needs to think in terms of destruction when I know there are beautiful ideas bubbling under the surface of this stagnant pool.
Ideas that will bring us together. That will make us peaceful and help us recapture the humanity that is not so much lost but imprisoned by those who would want us to be sad and obedient slaves.
I am nobody’s fucking slave. I am still free. We all are still free. Our captivity is an illusion… a prison built with bricks of lies that have no substance, by bricklayers who have no conscience, no moral compass and no life to speak of outside of the thin veneer of petty tyranny they believe protects them from the rabble.
I am weary. But I am not a fucking slave. I use my words to fight this tyranny. Because someone has to speak for all those who have been muted by the insanity.
This insanity will pass. But only if our collective will is strong. There is more good than evil in this world. Know that is a true thing. Fight for good. Live for others and others will do the same for you.
This is the only rock we have. We have done amazing things with it in the name of humanity. And others have done despicable things in the furtherance of greed.
I do not want my legacy to be anything but “He Went Down Fighting For Humanity.”
I am weary but I’m still here. And so are you, and together we can fix this broken world.
I’m going to keep on shouting. You should try it yourself. Because everything you want in and for this world, everything you believe this world to be in the best iteration, is out there…on the other side of complacency and chaos.

Just keep screaming, my dear. If nothing else the gestalt is good for the soul. BTW, I think the Good Lookin' PM is trying to do something about that over-dependence. Obviously someone heard you.

Nicole Chardenet. I disagree that you are tired of screaming. You just did a whole bunch of it and in very convincing fashion. But I believe that you're being a bit short sighted when you say it's not your problem. It's everybody's problem. America affect the entire world picture, politically, militarily and business wise. We do 70% of our trade with them. If that goes south so do a lot of Canadian incomes. Just sayin'.

I agree totally Jerry Fletcher. It's called tolerance and respect for our differences. Sadly too many people these days do not have the intelligence to manage that,m so they cling to what they believe and consider everything else to be inferior to it. This lack of understanding is at the root of many of the issues we face today.

There is a certain inevitability of where we find ourselves right now. Processes were set in motion a long time ago which are only now beginning to manifest. The crucible of greed, consumerism, deceit and political correctness is garnished with a generous helping of schadenfreude. And not so slowly the temperature is rising. Yes indeed it still has to boil over. Only in that heat will unsustainable values die and authentic stuff prevail and multiply. But sorry Jim Murray we haven't hit ground zero yet. Hold on to your hat and all that is dear to you, most notably your values, we've still got a way to go. But the center will hold - there's enough critical mass around. The sun shall rise again ... you are not alone!

Humanity wanders mindlessly into these quagmires and accepts solutions that are polar: Love and Hate. The expressions of those solutions can take many forms to exert control but in the end the religions formed weary and even go to war. The governments toppled by revolution that put "Our leader" in power in turn tumble. Frustration sweeps through the populace. And therein lies the problem. We are not of one mind and we refuse to let the other tribes just be. Until we can agree to disagree this madness will continue. Yes, we can rage against the dying of the light but what can we do to keep the lights on?

Jim Murray says here what most of us want to scream. Worth reading to see you are not alone in your frustration. This IS something we can change.

Some will be bewildered by the rising violence, while others will feign being so. But the hard fact is a vacuum in ethical leadership has developed at the core of world attention. And until that void is again filled by some worthy of the position, we will wander in the desert of moral confusion without a compass.

Collective will starts with personal responsibility as you are rightly pointing out....

"being allowed to happen" Words are a powerful force among people who spiritually, morally and with respect for their fellow man execute their existence. But the crisis we face is not within this group. The groups that we face are mentally ill. They have stepped off the path of citizenship and joined a growing movement of "anti". I don't believe any president, nor community intentionally allowed this to evolve in this direction. This is the result of an experiment started in the 30's when our government with great intentions, started systems of unsustainable care and intervention. We are now baring the fruits of humanity expecting instead of giving. There is only one fix for this and those with the real power will never give up what they have to achieve the fix. Money on the right and power on the left, each is feed by a system of polarized arguments that channels votes, support and finance, as each side is afraid the other will tumble their empires. Over the next 100 years we will find out our resolve to self govern or endure a dictatorship of moral high commend. Thoughts dictated through media controlled by government. We have crossed the line now. Materialism has run its course and it will be, who will be the last man standing. History supports this view and intellectuals can speak to our evolved nature but the fundamental greed of the human will prevail. We have called it out of the box. It doesn't usually go back in until humanity is starving to death. I serve those who i come in contact, pray and vote to try and make a difference. It all seems so feeble in the growth of mental illness brought on by class warfare while the scorecard is shown daily in media and managed by politics.

Great buzz Jim Murray! enjoyed read and shared. thank you very much for sensibly voicing against plenty of non-impulsive, who are aiming to destroy the design being crafted by sensible people.
