    The Director, Privacy Compliance and Privacy Counsel plays a crucial role in our success and growth strategy at CAAT.

    Reporting to the Senior Director, Legal Affairs, the Director will oversee and enhance CAAT's Privacy Management Program, fostering a culture of privacy awareness within the organization. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and enforcing privacy policies, providing legal advice on privacy, cybersecurity, and data management matters.

    We are seeking an individual with:

    • Law degree and qualified to practice in Ontario.
    • IAPP certified (CIPP, CIPM) or willing to obtain within the first year.
    • 5 to 8 years of experience in privacy law or compliance.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Experience in building compliance programs.
    • Thorough knowledge of privacy and data protection laws.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Develop and enhance CAAT's Privacy Management Program.
    • Build relationships with stakeholders and provide privacy law expertise.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes and their impact on operations.
    • Handle privacy incidents and lead privacy awareness training.
    • Ensure compliance with records retention and privacy regulations.
    • Review and advise on privacy provisions in contracts.
    • Provide legal advice on privacy matters to leadership.
    • Assist various departments with regulatory compliance.
