    Description

    The Accounts Payable Technician participates in the monthly accounting closing process by entering invoices, recording credit card expenses, running certain reports and supporting the accounting team at month-end. In addition, he/she will be responsible for issuing payments by cheque or bank transfer. He/she is also responsible for reconciling accounts payable statements and general ledger accounts.

    -Prepare, verify, reconcile and record monthly expense reports;

    Reconcile accounts payable and ensure proper recording of invoices;
    - Prepare bank transfer payments;
    - Record and coordinate utility and telecommunications expenses;
    - Issue monthly financial invoices (interco, rebillings and taxes);
    - Perform various extractions and month-end reports;
    - Provide support to the Accounting and Accounts Payable team;
    - All other related tasks..

    Success factors
    - Accounting background: Your 2 to 5 years' experience in accounting in an accounts payable department, combined with your college studies in the field, have given you the knowledge and skills to successfully carry out your responsibilities;
    - Computer skills: Your mastery of Excel software will be extremely useful and essential to the efficient performance of your duties. Familiarity with integrated accounting software (SAP a plus) could be a great asset;
    - Organizational skills: Despite a fast pace and heavy workload, you know how to manage stress and set priorities in order to act quickly and meet tight deadlines;
    - Thoroughness: You are professional and meticulous, and pay close attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of financial data at all times;
    - Sense of initiative: Proactive and autonomous, you seize every opportunity and use all available resources to solve problems efficiently;
    - Collaborative spirit: You are undoubtedly an excellent team player, promoting mutual support and communication for better results;
    - Bilingualism: Your intermediate oral and written communication skills in French and English enable you to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal customers.
