    Description

    Role impact:

    Contributes to key accounting processes in the financial reporting group, with a focus on the analysis, recording and documentation of complex accounting transactions, fair market value analysis, and preparation of the financial statements and management reports (as required).

    What you will deliver:

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Through regular feedback sessions, objective setting, performance appraisals, coaching, counseling, and formal presentations:
      • Manages and reviews the activities of direct reports to ensure timely and accurate completion of reports;
      • Provides evaluation of staff development needs regarding technical requirements;
      • Manages external auditors through the audit process efficiently.

    Functional Responsibilities:

    • Coordinating and assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements;
    • Liaising with accounting teams for subsidiary financial information;
    • Supporting complex transactions documentation and analysis;
    • Implementing changes to financial accounting policies;
    • Developing process and procedure improvement projects;
    • Testing changes to financial reports for relevance;
    • Ensuring key controls over financial reporting are effective.
    • Other assigned responsibilities.

    What your strengths are:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and administrative skills;
    • Focus on process optimization and technology implementation;
    • Exceptional attention to detail and report quality;
    • Ability to work independently and interact at all levels.

    What you need to succeed:

    • University degree in Business with CPA, CA or equivalent;
    • 4-6 years of accounting experience in Commercial Real Estate;
    • Knowledge of IFRS, real estate accounting policies, and procedures;
    • Experience in external audit;
    • Computer literacy, especially in Excel;
    • Familiarity with PGAAP, Workiva/Wdesk, and Yardi Voyager.
