    Corporate Health Services (CHS) - Registered Nurse, Casual, Temporary Position


    Reporting to the Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, the Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to Rogers employees and delivers health education programs in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act and the standards mandated by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).


    This position is a casual, temporary position, to support CHS during on-call and short-term absences of the full-time RN/laboratory staff.

    Assess patients (Rogers employees) to identify appropriate nursing interventions (i.e., first aid, blood pressure monitoring, health counselling, 911 necessity, etc.)


    Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician/nurse practitioner or according to established medical directives, policies and protocols (i.e., Set up and sterilize medical laboratory equipment
    Operate, monitor, and maintain medical equipment within the Health Centre
    Assist in medical procedures (i.e., annual physicals, PAP testing, general medical assessments)
    Primary care clinic environment in Rogers Communications Inc


    buildings:

    • Current health care provider level CPR and First Aid Certificate
    Excellent nursing assessment and time management skills
    Must possess a strong focus on delivering quality customer service
    Basic computer and medical systems knowledge
    Ability to work independently and without immediate support
    Be flexible working within an on-call capacity for short durations
