Job Title
Sr. Associate, Regulatory Affairs
Basic Purpose:
Under supervision, the Senior Associate supports the product compliance of our personal care business, including brands within the US, Canada, and our export business.
The incumbent assists with ensuring product adherence to all required technical label elements regarding all pertinent federal, state, and local laws/regulations in the US and Canada and provides ongoing support with export documentation process requirements.
Additionally, the Sr.Associate will be responsible for the creation of Hain Celestial Safety Data Sheets and register products with regulatory bodies and retailer directed databases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilizes multiple regulatory databases to ensure the stringent accuracy of North American personal care products, including compliance of label data for assigned products, such as:
Ingredients and Fragrance allergens.
Information for creation of cosmetic ingredient lines, OTC drug-facts and natural health products in the US and/or Canada
Partners with Research and Development (R&D), Certifications, and Quality Assurance to:
Verify net contents statement and slack fill requirements
Review product and packaging accuracy of consumer safety information (i.e. storage/temperature requirements, expiration dates, etc.)
Develops the contents of company Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensures ongoing compliance.
Utilizes generated SDS and other documentation to complete submissions to 3rd party retailer requested portal databases, including UL WERCSmart, SmarterX, Tracegains, and Foodlogiq.
Supports ongoing product registrations with FDA and/or Health Canada.Supports all domestic/international technical product information within internal database and provides documentation, as needed.
Reviews final packaging artwork to submit to Marketing, as directed.
Assists Consumer and Customer Care personnel in responding to inquiries.
Assists with other projects, as directed

Qualifications
~ Minimum three years' experience in a technical function, preferably in regulatory compliance in an FDA regulated industry such as cosmetics, drugs, and/or foods.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Working knowledge of FDA regulations / Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
Experience with GMP's, SOP's and Environmental guidelines.
Experience generating Safety Data Sheets
Export experience is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Preferred knowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry.
