    Description

    Be part of our Information & Technology (I&T) team, a critical piece of the engine that keeps us in motion.

    From enterprise architecture to operational technology, our teams use the agile methodology to automate and digitize our railroad ensuring our operations run optimally and safely and our employees can focus on value-added tasks.

    The Expert, Solution and System Integration – Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) is responsible for assisting in the technology transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA, seamlessly connecting Procurement and Supply Management business requirements with user experience.

    The role involves developing integration strategies for highly complex ecosystems, creating precise interface specifications, and analyzing solutions to ensure smooth data flows across various layers (e.g., Lead the software development lifecycle, overseeing end-to-end solution development envisioned by architects


    • Act as the technical bridge between solution architecture, business analysis, design, development, infrastructure integration, quality testing, vendors, and project management
    • Oversee the projects and programs solution delivery for the functional stream and dependencies across functional workstreams
    • Lead the principles that guide quality management when it comes to delivery of the solution
    • Decide on technical architecture changes, compliance with requirements and alignment with business objectives in collaboration with solution architects and business leads
    • Understand integration points between, legacy systems, front-end, back-end and satellite systems and highlight potential solution delivery risks
    • Collaborate with Business and Data Designers to define data conversion strategy
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to build-up strategies and overall integration testing requirements
    • Collaborate to the preparation and coordination of the full implementation plan
    • Lead technical discussions and moderate technical decisions
    Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional technical teams, fostering innovation and efficient problem-solving


    • Engage with both business stakeholders, external solution integrators, and technical experts, adapting communication styles as needed
    • Logs, tracks, and updates Risks Assumptions Issues Dependencies log with a mitigation approach to reduce project and program risks
    The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday.

    The role is eligible to participate in CN's hybrid model completing 3 days at CN office and 2 days working from home.

    Minimum 8 years overall work experience


    • Minimum 5 years experience in SAP ECC or S4 HANA
    § SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass)
    § Demonstrated experience delivering technology projects involving multiple parties


    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree and experience
    Identifies potential safety and security risks
    Technical Skills/Knowledge


    • Knowledge of SAP solutions (ECC/S4 HANA modules: SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass)
    • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
    • Knowledge of software development and technical documentation
    • The Expert, Solution and System Integration – Systems, Applications, and Products has the authority to make decide on technical architecture changes, compliance with requirements and alignment with business objectives in collaboration with solution architects and business leads. Within the organization, the incumbent liaises with Project Managers, Business leads and third-party Integrator leads.
