About Samuel Coombes:

A video editor with twelve years of industry experience in broadcast television and commercials, and a background creating a wide array of video content for clients with diverse individual requirements.

I value technical expertise, a systems thinking approach to problem solving, and making thoughtful, creative decisions to craft compelling narratives - through both documentary and scripted projects - and particularly enjoy collaborating with charities and arts organisations.

Experience

Credits across a broad range of content including broadcast documentary, reality, news, feature film, performing arts, commercials, corporate and social content. Proficient with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve.

A background in creative editing, assistant editing and consulting, adept at colour grading, sound design, graphics and troubleshooting, with technical credentials gained working at ITN Productions, Warner Bros, Monkey Kingdom, Sony Pictures Television and from training at The Moving Picture Company.

Previous clients include; Google, Samsung, Lego, Audi, Volkswagen, EY, PwC, Barbican Centre, Tate, King's College London, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, and Canada's National Arts Centre among others.

Education

Graduated from The University of Greenwich in London, UK, with a first class degree with honours in Digital Film Production.

Previous education includes further training in media, as well as social sciences and photography.
