    Description

    Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Working with world class fabrication partners, RANOVUS is the leader in the application of unique new technologies to fiber-optic communications products for data centers.

    We are looking for an Assembly and Test Technician to work within our Operations team and support our product commercialization efforts.

    Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and test support of production build, this will include but not limited to: Perform complex assembly of photonic components.Support and manage die and wire bonding equipment.Perform optical and electrical testing at wafer and die level.Support and manage test equipment.
  • Monitor the functioning of all production equipment and assist in maintenance and corrective actions. Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to eliminate breakdowns.
  • Manage shop floor consumables inventory.
  • Support other general technician activities as and when required.
  • Work different hours/shift if required.

    • Skills and Experience:

  • Technologist or Technician diploma
  • 5+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with the following are assets: Die attachWire bondingManual assembly of micro-opticsHand soldering of fine pitch devicesLaser die burn-in and testWafer test and handling
