    Description

    The aim of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation.

    GBTO differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

    The production support team is responsible to ensure stable operation of the production environment for the following domains: structured finance, capital market finance, trade finance applications, origination, and credit approval.

    Our key clients include Front Office, Middle Office, Back office, Risk and Finance

    • Provide timely resolution of functional and technical issues and report incidents to the appropriate chain of command.
    • Provide functional and technical expertise to produce and promote maintainable and quality solutions. Includes documenting system requirements and documentation of support run book
    • Help configure setup as requested by users and monitor platforms.
    • Understand regulatory environment and constraints.
    • Handle queries and one-off data research requests from users.
    • Research technical processes using sources such as error logs and product technical documentation and identify solutions to resolve problems or improve efficiency.
    • Respect internal IT norms, standards and processes
    • Timely reporting of production and project status to client and IT management
    • Partner with global & local project teams on change & release management and devops activities
    • Partner with the Global support teams to ensure quality support to our end users
    • Effectively manage the Client Relationship with the end user community
    • Organize user training sessions as relevant
    • Follow regular functional and technical trainings to keep updated with the applications updates
    • Participate and secure infrastructure operations (disaster recovery & Infra weekends)
    Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent job experience

    • 3-5 years relevant experience in a Production Support role in the banking industry
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues.
    • Experience in SQL
    • Understanding of IT infrastructure
    Track record of delivering continual improvements & automations


    LANGUAGE:

    Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
