    Description

    The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province.

    The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

    The revenue generated by the LDB helps fund essential public services like health care, education, and community programming.

    You'll get the opportunity to flex your skills in supporting retail, warehouse, and corporate office environments with a unionized employee base.

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations & Investigations, the ER Investigator is principally focused on leading major employment investigations into complex allegations of workplace misconduct.

    Special requirements and working conditions include the ability to travel overnight within the Province of British Columbia. An eligibility list for permanent or temporary future opportunities may be established.

    Degree or diploma in a related discipline such as labour relations, employee relations, human resources, administrative law, or investigations.

    Exercise judgment and provide analysis involving complicated and diverse employee relations situations grounded in company policy and procedures, collective agreement language and employment law.

    Experience working at a senior advisory level.

    Experience applying due diligence regarding legal implications and applying various Acts, and policies to a variety of labour relations situations.

    Client/customer service and relationship building.
