- Sales Growth Strategies: Develop and implement sales growth strategies specific to the construction and trade tools industry. Identify market trends and opportunities to expand our product offerings and customer base.
- Leadership: Demonstrate daily leadership skills to build and support the sales team.
- Floor Management: Lead daily walks on the sales floor with area owners to ensure all standards are met, including inventory management, pricing, and promotions. Develop and implement action plans, provide team training and coaching, and maintain store cleanliness for an excellent customer experience.
- Customer and Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and supplier representatives.
- Recruitment: Interview and select candidates who align with our company culture and goals. Manage the recruiting process effectively.
- Administrative Tasks: Organize daily clerical tasks, including forms, emails, and action plans.
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration with head office and other stores to facilitate efficient communication.
- Quality Assurance: Audit company standards to ensure the highest level of service is consistently offered.
- Scheduling: Plan the team's schedule to align with business needs.
- Performance Management: Monitor team performance and manage accordingly.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct monthly benchmarking to stay ahead of the competition.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales management.
- Minimum 3 years in retail management.
- Minimum 3 years in the construction and trade tools industry.
- Proven track record in delivering concrete results in sales, merchandising, and marketing.
- Excellent organizational and product knowledge, with the ability to transmit knowledge to the team.
- Experience in theft prevention and management.
- Adaptability to changes, delays, and unforeseen events in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Description: The Sales Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, reporting directly to the Store Manager. This position is essential for accomplishing our company objectives. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in sales and management, who is ambitious, results-oriented, and passionate about the construction and trade tools industry.

This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours/week, the 5-day work week includes 2 days off per week, Sunday (closed) and one day during the week. One full weekend off each 4 weeks.
